Carnarvon Gorge

Shot using a Holga on expired AFGA Optima 120 Medium Format Film, lab developed in C-41. The really bright sun made shooting in the shadows difficult. The rainforest has a feeling of being ancient, and these images impart some of the magic of walking through scrub and suddenly arriving in a sandstone crevasse that’s degrees cooler and dripping with water.

Crossing the full creeks with a full camera bag was a challenge and resulting in the purchase of a new backpack hiking camera bag that allows both hands to be free.
